Installing Bathroom Vanities

The process to successful install a bathroom vanity doesn't have to be difficult. If you are ready to update the look in your bathroom, this is a job you can do on your own. All it takes are some basic tools and some time to complete the work. If you can get another person to help you it will also move along faster.

1. Having a good idea of what you want to do is the first step in the process. If it is just a matter of taking out the old vanity and then installing a new on in its place the same size you are fine.
2. Make sure you carefully measure the height, width, and depth for the new bathroom vanity. If you fail to measure the depth it may not be flush like to should be against a wall. Make sure you shut off the water before you remove the old vanity. You don't want to turn it back on until you have secured the new on in place. Make sure you have all the tools you need available too so you don't waste time searching for them. Take the time to clean up the area from the old vanity too. That way you can get the new one to slide in snuggly without any problem.
3. Part of installing a bathroom vanity is very careful measurements. You will need to do them at least twice to make sure they are right. You will need to measure where to cut out holes for the pipes before you secure the new bathroom vanity to the wall. You also need to identify the wall studs. This way you can secure it in and it will hold like it should.
4. You will also need to do the same process for the sink so that the pipes for it line up. Then you can secure the sink in place. Make sure you get all of the feed lines secured to the water sources.
5. The last step when you install a bathroom vanity is to carefully add the molding around it. You want it to look very nice and professional.
