Steps
- Calm down. Usually what's lost can be found, if you spend enough time.
- Try to call it. Do this as soon as you have identified it is lost so you can reach it before its battery life runs out.
- Look around from where your standing. Don't move, because it may be right around. Look past your nose.
- Retrace your recent steps. Think where you might have left it. The car, the bus, your room, your desk? Look in the places where it might logically be.
- Report it. If you cannot find it, instead of to keep looking, it usually is a better idea to call your phone company and tell them to deactivate your phone. This is smart because if someone may have stolen it, they cannot rack up a ton of minutes, while it is lost.
Tips
- Don't get stressed. Don't get frustrated.
- If you are going to try to find your phone and you know that it was left on, walk around with a phone and call several times, before the battery is run out.
- Try to remember where you went.
- Ask a friend or someone who may have been with you at the time you lost it.
- Be calm and don't totally lose it. Staying sane is a good idea for when you need to look for something.
Warnings
- You might not find it right away, so don't be scared if you dont. Being patient is a big part of this. Without it, you would probably freak out.
- Probably the most important rule, dont get mad or let this ruin your entire day. Be positive, or your friends might get annoyed.
- Dont bug everyone and make a huge deal about it. That'll get on people's nerves.
- And whatever you do DONT blame anyone who might have been with you at the time, because if they didn't do it, it will hurt their feelings big time.
