  6. Scrub then rinse. Repeat on problem areas.
  7. Mix 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 10 parts water in spray bottle or bucket.
  8. Spray or wipe onto all surfaces.
  9. Let stand at least 5 to 10 minutes.
  10. Scrub and rinse.

Tips

  • White Vinegar (Acetic Acid); To dissolve hardwater, grease or grime build-up.
  • Baking Soda; A non-scratching abrasive that lifts grime off porcelain and other surfaces.
  • Hydrogen Peroxide; Environmental alternative to chlorine bleach. Disinfectant kills bacteria, mold and mildew. Breaks down quickly in the environment.
  • For problem hardwater and calcium stains such as on toilets, use vinegar at full strength and let stand for a longer period of time.
  • Concentrated vinegar cleaner (which is stronger then food grade white vinegar) may be available.
  • Hydrogen peroxide is available at most pharmacies. Also sold as peroxide bleach.
  • As an alternative to baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) you may use borax.

Warnings

  • Vinegar and peroxide are irritants to skin, eyes, nose and throat. Avoid direct contact with skin eyes and clothing.
  • Use ventilation.
