Irregularity amounts to constipation. Constipation is related to the digestive system. It is a condition that affects the individual by a hardening of feces, which experience biological difficulty in digesting. Extreme discomfort and outright pain is inflicted upon the afflicted. If not treated, in its early stages by home remedies for constipated bowel obstruction can develop. Add a tablespoon of honey and a dash of sesame oil to a mug of hot water. Stir well. Repeat every morning before breakfast. Moistens the intestines and frees the stools. Especially suitable for habitual constipation with dry stools. Eat there in twenty-four hours, but if you have crossed forty, do not exceed two meals in the day. Do not take it literally you can eat fruits in between the meals, but in reasonable quantities.

Better still, make fruits a part of your morning and evening meals. Talking of fruits, the best fruits are seasonal and those, which are available to you within hours of having been picked. Have a cup of coffee to get your bowels moving. What makes coffee so good for relieving constipation is its bitterness.

Coffee along with all bitter-tasting foods work to stimulate the digestive tract. If coffee isn't your thing, I recommend trying Oregon grape. This herb along with some of its root cousins like barberry have been used to deal with constipation since since ancient times. You don't really want to eat it straight up but actually mix half a teaspoon in a glass of water so you can sip it. Rosemary, hyssop, fennel, marjoram or camomile oil

A child will feel a lot happier when its poor wretched tummy is given a soothing rub with sweetly scented oil. A few drops of any of these essential oils diluted with sunflower or olive will relieve tension and encourage bowel movement when rubbed gently into the abdomen. A drop or two of camphor may be used in conjunction with another oil. Fiber rich food is the key to fight against constipation.

Fruits and vegetables contain enough fiber content and help prevent constipation. Fluids also help to keep colon healthy. It is advisable to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily. Keep yourself active by participation in sports activities or even 20-30 minutes morning walk can improve your overall health and keep your digestion proper. Dandelion root is mild and used by many people with chronic constipation. A tea is made by boiling the root in water. It can be taken up to four times a day as it is not a harsh laxative. It is recommended for people who have a long term problem with constipation that is not related to diet or stress.
