The best thing about the HP Photosmart A616 compact photo printer is it lets you print beyond the traditional 4x6 image. Opt for 5x7 and see your possibilities grow. The A616 offers more print flexibility with comparable weight and print speeds of similar compact printers.

The HP Photosmart A616 features a full color 2.4-inch flip up LCD screen. Photos print in 4800x1200 dpi resolution. The A616 accepts images from your computer, compatible digital camera and Bluetooth enabled devices if you opt for the adapter. You won’t need your computer or your camera for simple editing functions. With the HP Photosmart A616, you can crop, remove red-eye, rotate and add both effects and a variety of borders. Media options differentiate the A616 from many of its competitors. In addition to printing standard 4x6 photos, you may print 5x7 and 4x12 panorama photos.

Experts praise the HP Photosmart A616 ‘s expanded printing options without sacrificing its small size and relatively light weight. Some irregularities were noted in photo quality including overly saturated skin tones, and some slowdowns while printing.  People who bought the product are less critical of the quality, claiming the A616 prints were difficult to distinguish from professional photo lab prints.
