Times: 8am-8pm
Address:

This program will address fundamental issues related to designing, operating and ensuring tax qualification of employee retirement benefit plans. Beginning with the statutory framework of ERISA, an experienced faculty will describe the types of plans covered by the statute, the requirements for operating them, including how they are funded, how distributions are made, how they are terminated, records that must be kept and filings that must be made. You will learn how the Internal Revenue Service, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and Department of Labor fit into the complicated statutory scheme of ERISA. In addition, our expert faculty will help you make sense of the recently enacted American Recovery Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the Worker, Retiree and Employer Relief Act of December 2008 (WRERA).
